The Swedish Genealogical days
Time certainly moves fast… It’s almost a year ago since we met at the Genealogical days in Malmö. Next weekend we will meet again in Falköping for the 2009 Genealogical days. On August 22nd-23rd there will be 3-4.000 genealogists in Falköping listening to lectures, meeting with organisations and companies and just hanging out. As the main sponsor, we hope the weather will be as we in Sweden call "lagom", not too hot, not too cold, no rain but not too sunny either. We hope for the most perfect weather conditions possible and that many people come and visit the Genealogical days. If you are going to Falköping we would be delighted if you could come and visit us in our booth, say hello and talk a while. We have prepared some exciting new things to show you.

Newsletter
Our unique work digitalizing Swedish archive documents continues. Some of the documents are so newly digitalized that they have not yet been published in AD OnLine, but they will be during next week. To mention some:
• Uppsala län church books (household, moving, birth, marriage, and death records) until around 1894.
• Göteborgs Landsarkivs Estate inventories (registers) of Göteborgs and Bohus län, Skaraborg län and Älvsborgs län.
• Estate inventories from the oldest time to about 1900 of Jönköpings, Kalmar and Kronobergs län.
• Göteborgs Landsarkivs surname index of Göteborgs and Bohus län, Skaraborg län, Värmland and Älvsborgs län. Also register to urban church records have been digitalized.
• Vadstena Landsarkivs Estate inventories (registers) of Jönköpings, Kronobergs, Kalmar and Östergötlands län.
We started digitalizing material at the Regional Archives in Härnösand August 3rd. We started with Gävleborgs län and we hope it will be finished in the autumn. We will begin digitalizing material at the Stockholm City Archives around September-October 2009.
