| Information | På grund av kanslistyrelsens brev till Härnösands domkapitel den 17 mars 1815 tillkom Stensele kapellförsamling inom Lycksele pastorat, sedan ett förslag redan 1781 att bygga kapell därstädes förfallet. Stensele utbröts därefter jämte Tärna till eget pastorat jämlikt k. brevet den 3 oktober 1822. Tärna konsistuterades genom k. brev den 8 januari 1853(x) som kapellag under Stensele och avskildes genom k. brev den 12 september 1902 till eget gäll och jordebokssocken från den 1 maj 1903. Enligt k. beslut den 18 december 1936 har av ett område invid Storumans järnvägsstation inom Stensele socken bildats Storumans municipalsamhälle. Enligt k. beslut den 30 april 1937 har av ett område vid Stensele kyrkoplats bildats ett municipalsamhälle, benämnt Stensele municipalsamhälle. Detta har utvidgats genom k. beslut den 29 september 1939. Stenseles äldsta nybygge är Bastuträsk, som anlades 1744. Kapell i Umnäs och Åskilje byar invigdes 1926 resp. 1928. Från 1 januari 1938 är Stensele uppdelat på Stensele och Umnäs kbfd. (x) avskrift i VB landskontor, A I c:14 (ex 357) |
