Tidigare brukades även namnformen Bonstorp. 1648-1711: Eget pastorat. 1712--1922-04-30: Annexförsamling i pastoratet Tofteryd, Byarum och Bondstorp. 1922-05-01--1980: Annexförsamling i pastoratet Byarum och Bondstorp. Fr.o.m. 1981: Annexförsamling i pastoratet Byarum, Bondstorp och Svenarum. Stift: Växjö Härad: I administrativt hänseende: T.o.m. 1869: Östbo och Mo härader (till Mo härad och Stengårdshults jordebokssocken hörde Holabo nr 1, Rasten nr 1 jämte utjorden Biskopsdal nr 2). Därefter: Mo härad (överflyttningen enl Kungl. brev 1865-12-29 och 1869-02-29; genom nådigt beslut 1869-01-29 överflyttades ovannämnda fastigheterna från Stengårdshult till Bondstorp). I judiciellt hänseende: 1600-talet: Östbo härad. Sedermera: Mo härad (tingslag).
